SmartLayer
Technology is a component of
the RAViX vector rendering engine that enhances
the integration of Swift 3D animations into
Adobe Flash. SmartLayer technology enables
RAViX to create individual layers within
in a single file that contain various aspects
of the original 3D scene. These layers include
Colors, Outlines, Shadows, Highlights, Reflections
and Transparency, all of which can be accessed
once a RAViX rendered file in the .SWFT format is imported
into the Flash authoring tool.
There are some additional advantages that the SmartLayer technology can provide over importing a regular SWF that was created in Swift 3D products. SmartLayer technology has the ability to determine which objects in a 3D animation are moving and which ones are stationary. It can then separate those stationary and moving objects into their own layers in order to reduce overall file size. This process results in smaller files because the stationary objects only need to be included in the file once instead of every frame of the movie.
Download the Swift 3D File
Importer for Adobe Flash
Important! This is step is not required if you have Swift 3D or the Swift 3D Evaluation Version installed on your machine, or if you plan to install it. The Importer will automatically be installed in the proper Flash folder when you install Swift 3D, making the Swift 3D File Importer immediately available through Flash's Import File menu item.
Step 1) Download the required
files:

and sample files for the MAC.
(Note: Some browsers require you to right-click on the link and select "Save Link As")
Step 2) Extract the files
and save to your machine.
Step 3) Find the Adobe
Flash program folder on your machine. Within
that folder you will see a folder titled "First
Run". Within First Run, there is a folder
tiled "Importers". Place the Swift3DImporter.dll
file directly into the Importers folder.
Step 4) In Flash, click
'file / new' to create a new scene. Then select
'file / import to library'. "Swift 3D Importer"
file should now be an option under your file
type dropdown menu. Locate the sample file you
downloaded with the .swft extension and click
open.
Step 5) Open your Flash
library and you will see your new Movie Clip.
Open the Movie Clip to see how SmartLayer technology
has broken the animation into layers. You can
turn layers on and off to see the conents of
the layer.
