StandOut Design Kits (Presentation Templates)

Presentation templates, called StandOut Design Kits, are built by professional designers using Microsoft Expression Blend and Electric Rain StandOut Designer Edition and are built around design themes, visual metaphors, or branding of the company or product. Design Kits are made up of many different layouts to hold and deliver all the types of presenters content (text, graphics, charts, videos, audio, etc.). A Design Kit leverages rich motion and creative storytelling techniques to display client content in a compelling cinematic style that engages an audience.

Design Kits are then delivered to the client along with Electric Rain StandOut Presenter Edition, which enables the content within the presentation to be quickly and easily edited and customized while maintaining the design integrity built by the designer, which guarantees a remarkable visual experience for the audience.

Scenario: The Microsoft Windows Vista marketing team needs a compelling presentation that's editable by their AE's to sell customers on the benefits of Windows Vista. The AE's need to be able to customize the content depending on the customer, without having to re-engage with the designer.

Workflow: Microsoft's internal design team uses Microsoft Expression Blend and StandOut Designer Edition to build this base Design Kit around the Windows Vista branding, and with a very rich and compelling delivery system for the presenters content. Once the Design Kit is delivered to the AE, the AE can customize all the content (graphics, text, etc) within the presentation for each customer using StandOut Presenter Edition.

Benefit / Impact: This presentation Design Kit approaches broadcast-quality effects and uses a 3D-video carousel to engage the audience, better communicate the message, and drive results.

Scenario: JetBlue's market differentiation is to bring humanity and fun back into air travel, and their marketing team needs a compelling presentation that reflects this culture in their corporate presentations. JetBlue hires an external design agency to build an editable Design Kit for their press and analysts meetings.

Workflow: JetBlue's design agency uses StandOut Designer Edition to build this base Design Kit using an animated character (Lyndsay) to deliver the presentation content in a rich, fun, and compelling way. Real World Case Study : This keynote presentation was actually used by the Microsoft Expression GM, Eric Zocher, during a three-city kick off tour to launch their Expression Studio designer tools. Benefit / Impact: Microsoft was able to better engage their audience of professional designer by using the technology to show off the technology. The StandOut application and resulting presentation was created using Expression Blend and StandOut Designer Edition.

Scenario: Earthworks Architecture has an incredible portfolio of work that they want to highlight and incorporate into their pitch presentations, so they hire an external design agency to create an editable Design Kit that they can use for their future presentations.

Workflow: The design firm chooses the visual metaphor of a drafting / drawing board and architecture plans rolling out to reveal the presenters content as the base Design Kit. They use Expression Blend and StandOut Designer Edition to create rich animation layouts that will hold and deliver the firms content in a rich way. Once the Design Kit is delivered to the Earthworks, the firm can customize all the content (graphics, text, etc) using StandOut Presenter Edition and keep the designer metaphor throughout.
